WELCOME TO THE ER
PART 1

Disclaimer: All of the characters belong to NBC apart from Carrie Corday who is my own fictional character. As this is my 1st Fan Fiction ever I would want to know what all of you out there thought of it so if you have any comments or suggestions could you email them to kemm12@hotmail.com  Thanx.

Dr Dave sat at the front desk going through patient files when his enemy Elizabeth Corday walked into the ER followed by a pretty young woman. About 5’9, slim, black shiny hair that layered around the shoulders, big brown eyes and brown skin that shined like honey. Wow, this girl was perfect he thought. Dave sat up and ran his hand through his short brown hair as Dr Corday approached him with the mystery girl behind her.

‘Dr Dave have you seen Dr Carter around here, I have his new med student Carrie Corday. Carrie this is Dr Dave Malucci.’ The woman walked to Dave and shook his
hand and produced a warm friendly smile.

‘Yeah he is in Exam 3. Excuse me, are you two related or something or just happen to have the same surname?’ asked Dave.

‘I am Liz’s cousin actually Dr Dave. Hopefully I’ll be seeing you around the ER today at all?’ Carrie to was from the UK, and Dave told her he told her he would be there all day and she should call him if she needed help. Carrie and Corday walked away and in the distance Dave heard Carrie tell Corday that she thought he was cute.

‘Don’t get your hopes up Carrie, he is too easy going for you and a bit of a bad boy.’ Said Corday once Dave was out of earshot hoping to put here off the stud muffin.

‘I like bad boys didn’t you know, plus I am up for anything nowadays. Now who is this Dr Carter I need to meet?’ and Carrie and Corday walked into Exam 3.

The day went slowly for Dave as he wandered around the ER hoping to catch Carrie but got tangled up with work when a multi-car crash meant that the ER was flooded
with traumas.

‘Call it, we can’t save this guy.’ Said Dave sadly as Haleh covered the young teenager with multiple head injuries. ‘If he had gotten here sooner I could of saved him.’

Haleh patted Dave on the back and told him to take a minute get together. Dave walked into the lounge and grabbed the coffee pot when he saw Carrie by the kettle.

Dave walked casually over to Carrie. ‘Hi, what’s that you are making?’

‘Tea, the English way, want some? You know what? I sure as hell didn’t know that working in the ER could be so stressful.’

Dave accepted Carries offer of tea and he and Carrie sat down and began to talk. Dave admired the way she talked, with sophistication and style. The next few weeks went by quickly and Dave felt that he was getting closer to Carrie and so he decided to ask her out. Carrie accepted but decided not to tell Corday because she doesn’t
approve of Dave and his way of practicing medicine.

Later on Saturday night, Dave was in his flat getting ready for his date. His flat was 2 bed roomed, big and bright just the way he liked it. It took him a year to pay for this flat but it was well worth it. Dave decided to wear his Kookai jeans and a Armani sweater (picture it in your head and you’ll know how hot Dave looks in this outfit) and
sprayed himself with Lynx for that added charm. Dave realised that since he came to County that he had never really liked some one as much as he liked her and that although it was their 1st date he felt there was something special between them. Then Dave picked up his keys and walked out of his flat to go pick up Carrie, and smiled
he actually felt good about this no more nervousness or anxiousness, just him and Carrie being together. Oh well thought Dave and climbed into his silver porche and drove to Carrie’s flat.
